Cargo volumes at The Port of Virginia fell 13% year-over-year to 270,979 TEUs in September, marking eight straight months of YoY declines for the port.
Despite lower container volumes, the East Coast port saw its total TEUs for the month rise by 12% compared to 2019 levels.
Port officials attributed last month’s dip in YoY volumes to normalizing volumes and cargo flows.
